Oswaldo Guayasamín

In this activity, we will learn about artist Oswaldo Guayasamín and recreate one of his paintings.

Remember that Guayasamín fought hard for the rights of Indigenous Americans and often depicted their plight in his pieces. His abstract style was also inspired by Pablo Picasso!

So grab your paints and brushes, and get ready to paint like Oswaldo!

Supplies Needed:

  • A piece of paper

  • A pencil

  • Paints in red, yellow, blue, black, and white

  • A small round paint brush
