Pioneer History
History Lesson:
During our Pioneer Times unit study, students dove into the Westward Expansion and the life and times of 19th century America. After creating a map of the United States, students built their own pioneer storefront, which included four rooms: a school, general store, jail or saloon, and post office. Through note taking and lectures, they learned about the Cherokee, bison, Donner Party, Studebaker wagons, railroads, and what met the pioneers on the West coast.
