Teen Apprentices
Are you ready to take Goose Grease to the next level?
Goose Grease House for the Arts is looking for Apprentices for our 2026 Summer Workshops!
Duties and expectations include:
Helping with student's needs and behaviors.
Helping with prep and cleanup.
Anticipating the various needs of the studio.
Other duties as assigned.
They should be able to stand for long periods of time, work without checking their cell phones, and be available to assist in cleaning.
This is a professional environment, so they will be expected to dress, act, and work as such.
From this experience, Apprentices will gain professional work experience, knowledge of childhood education, and practice with a variety of art supplies and art building methods.
Apprentices are rising 9th-11th graders and is a VOLUNTEER opportunity. The program will run from 8:45am-3:15pm Monday-Friday, for 6 weeks during the Summer and participants may choose to participate in one week or multiple weeks (depending on availability). Participants are expected to attend a MANDATORY training day June 20th and be available for the entire duration of their assigned workshop.
There will be an interview process, and workshop placement will be determined based on availability and where we think the participant will best thrive.
Goose Grease focuses on art and learning history, we also maintain a high standard of manners and behavior, focused on growing smart and respectful students -- young leaders that can hold intelligent conversations and be a beacon in their community, respecting all persons, cultures, and religions. We are looking for interns to uphold and meet these standards.
This is a perfect opportunity for experienced Goose Grease students, but we encourage all to apply!
