The Industrial Revolution

History Lesson: 

This semester students learned about the Industrial Revolution and how it shaped the world. Starting off with mining, they progressed through history with the steam engine, the evolution of the cottage industry to factories, and how the light bulb changed the working world. They also explored what the revolution meant for the employees and employers, unions, and developing philosophies, such as Marxism.
